Data in the application process
Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information that you have provided to us during the application process, such as your name, address, contact details and date of birth, as well as your employment history, etc.

Basis and purpose of processing
We process your personal data for the purpose of handling the application process and carrying out pre-contractual measures, as well as for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied.
We may process your personal data provided in the application documents and in the application procedure if this is necessary for the decision on concluding an employment contract (Art 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 paras. 1 and 8 Federal Data Protection Act).

Inclusion in an applicant pool
If your application is unsuccessful, we may ask you in a separate declaration of consent to allow us to store your personal data, which you provided during the entire application process, for a defined period of time beyond the specific application process (Art. 6 para. 1 sub-para. a) GDPR). We may then use this data to contact you at a later date should another position come into consideration.

Who has access to your data
Only authorized employees from the local and/or central HR department or employees involved in the application process have access to your data. Furthermore, a service provider based in the EU is entrusted with the processing of applications.

How long will your data be stored
In the absence of consent, your data will be deleted six months after the rejection has been sent, in accordance with Section 61b para. 1 ArbGG (Labour Court Law) in conjunction with Section 15 AGG (General Act on Equal Treatment). In the case of the applicant pool, deletion or a renewed request for consent takes place after the expiry of the consent period.
After these periods have expired, the corresponding data is routinely deleted.
Your rights
Insofar as personal data is processed by us as the responsible organization, you as the data subject have certain rights under Chapter III of the GDPR, depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing.
You have the right to request confirmation from us as to whether personal data relating to you is being processed.
If this is the case, you have a right to inform yourself about this personal data and to information to the extent regulated by law in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. Furthermore, you have the
  • Right to rectification (Art.16 GDPR),
  • Right to deletion (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR).
  • If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent.

In the event that your rights concerning data protection are violated, you have the right to file a compliant with a supervisory authority. Data transfer abroad
Transfers may involve the transfer of personal data to recipients outside the European Union / European Economic Area. Standard contractual clauses have been concluded with these external service providers, unless they are based in countries with an adequacy decision pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR.
