The team lead Financial Services ASML Berlin reports to the ASML Netherlands team lead of the Consolidation and Statutory reporting team.

ASML acquired Berliner Glas in 2020 and making the next steps in the integration and professionalization of it’s Financial Services team in Berlin, responsible for the Group and Statutory Accounting and Tax compliance for the entity.

To realize our world class ambition we are looking for a team lead Financial Services for ASML Berlin, located in Berlin, Germany. The team lead has a broad responsibility, leading the monthly and quarterly accounting, reporting and close process, preparation of compliance obligation and drive the required process improvements to increase the compliance and be ready for the future growth. The team lead is managing a growing team of currently 5 professionals and makes sure she/he gets the best out of the team.
The role is a pivotal role in the organization given the broad scope and impact and the importance of ASML Berlin to the growth of ASML.

Job description
  • Responsible for the overall accounting for ASML Berlin
  • Ensuring timely and accurate monthly close and reporting to the ASML Headquarters under US GAAP
  • Ensure right internal controls and policies and procedures are put in place
  • Annual preparation of the statutory Financial Statement including managing relationship with the external auditor
  • Timely and accurately complete the tax compliance obligations for the entity
  • Analytical review of the P&L and Balance sheet, and provide relevant insight to management
  • Identify and deliver on accounting process improvements
  • Collaborate with other finance teams to structurally strengthen our core of financial processes
  • Lead and grow the team

Education and experience

  • Master degree in business related education or Bachelor degree with a CPA certification
  • 10-15 years relevant working experience in accounting and preferably multinational environment
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Experienced in SAP ECC, SAP Workflow, and has affinity with BI tool
  • Experience with delivering process improvements and setting-up an accounting organization
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP, IFRS and German GAAP
  • Understanding of German tax law preferred
