Introduction to the job

As a high-tech company and leading supplier of the semi-conductor industry, we manufacture complex lithography machines used by chip manufacturers to produce integrated circuits or computer chips. Our products are found at the center of every electronic device we use for information, entertainment, and interconnection. At the Berlin site, more than 1,300 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems.

Corporate real estate plays a very important role in the continued growth of the Berlin site. Without your considerable help, we will not be able to achieve our significant growth targets.

Your tasks

  • Lead the project management team.

  • Manage all projects related to new construction or the conversion and renovation of buildings and technical systems used in industrial operations.

  • Administer all aspects, manage employees, and provide technical guidance for all current and future projects. Project scopes vary between the conversion of production spaces or offices to expansions and new construction, which include integrated process and media technology as well as portfolio expansions.

  • Determine the requirements of each project in cooperation with internal stakeholders.

  • Plan the entire project, allocate resources, create budgets and schedules, manage stakeholders, keep project records, and monitor projects.

  • Implement technically complex, multidisciplinary projects according to the building generation process (BGP) within CRE.

  • Ensure occupational safety and compliance with all quality standards.

  • Ensure that deliveries through the supply chain satisfy all requirements and comply with specifications (time, quality, and budget).

  • Manage all project phases of the ASML construction process, including project initiation, project organization, contract management, from project start to completion.

  • Manage projects and coordinate all involved parties including stakeholders, architects, engineers (internal and external), consultants, technicians, contractors, and users.

  • Determine procurement strategies for products and services.

  • Analyze market opportunities, reconcile findings with customer needs, and derive best-fit solutions that are available on the supplier market.

  • Transfer to and implement global standards in the specific local situation while maintaining a consistent work process.

Your qualifications

  • Completed engineer studies in construction management or comparable qualification

  • Extensive relevant industry experience, e.g., from the semi-conductor, solar, automotive, medical technology, etc. sectors

  • Many years of project management experience in the construction, conversion, and renovation of industrial production systems

  • Experience with projects related to manufacturing or production processes

  • Knowledge of infrastructure supply systems (power, mechanical, gas, clean rooms, etc.)

  • Professional management experience with internal as well as external employees

  • Knowledge of planning within ongoing production and of R&D requirements

  • Experience using MS Project or comparable planning systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with respect to other employees, the management team, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and customers

  • Initiative, independence, and ability to make decisions

  • Ability to prioritize and manage stakeholders

  • Self-confidence, ability to cope with pressure

  • Ability to assess risk and correctly evaluate the situation to minimize risks

  • Fluent in business German and English, both written and spoken
