HRBP / Human Resources Business Partner Dresden & Berlin (m/f/d)
Introduction to the job
Dresden is the Customer Support site, where over 100 ASML employees cover all the customer related requests and issues as well some HQ teams operate from. Customer Support is expected to grow significantly the coming years in Germany, due to the expansion plans of our major customers (e.g. fab in Magdeburg area).
Berlin is a major R&D and manufacturing site with expertise in optics and wafer chuck technology. In Berlin more than 1,600 employees develop and manufacture key lithography components, including wafer tables and clamps, reticle chucks and mirror blocks.
This HR Business Partner position is based in Dresden office, with regular travel to Berlin colleagues.
Role and responsibilities
The HR Business Partner is primarily responsible for all HR matters on location Dresden. This includes deploying the HR strategy, programs and work place culture. You will develop quality initiatives and apply practices positioning ASML Dresden as a great place to work to attract and retain talent. You are accountable for successful implementation and execution of policies and initiatives in the following functions: employee relations, employee development, recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, policies and procedures.
You will work closely with the Europe HR expertise functions based in the Netherlands (C&B, recruitment and People Services)
Next to your role in Dresden, up to 50% of your time will be spend on supporting the Berlin team with participation in key HR projects. Since Berlin is only acquired end 2020, there are still a lot of HR integration project and initiatives running where you can add a lot of value in deployment. For this part you will work closely together with the HR team in Berlin.
You will report hierarchically into the head of HR Germany, who is based in Berlin and dotted into the HR BP Customer Support Europe and the Site manager Dresden.

Major Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Dresden People Agenda in line with Sectors requirements and specific local business requirements.
- Initiate development of local updates/changes to global policies, processes, and systems within global framework and liaises with Global Expertise with respect to deviations.
- Manage and execute on important HR topics including:
- Headcount Planning, recruitment and onboarding
- Performance Management
- Organization and Talent Development
- Learning and Development
- Compensation and Benefits
- Policies and Practices
- Support local management in the changing environment
- Current priorities: recruit and onboard new staff to support the strong business growth, strengthen the mid-level management group, employee engagement and create sustainable career paths for engineers, team leaders and managers
Education and experience
- Several (5 plus) years of work experience in a large international company with a matrix structure, preferably in an international setting
- A strong HR generalist who has a variety of HR experience and is familiar with key elements such as recruitment, compensation & benefits, evaluation and promotion schemes, organizational development and management training as well as employee development
- A mature individual with high standards as an HR professional
- Results-oriented team player with business sense
- Open and accessible for employees and management at all levels
- Proactive and communicative personality; one who is able to act as a professional business partner in a demanding and very busy technology environment
- Influencing, negotiating, analytical, and consultancy skills
- Strong personality with a hands-on mentality, who can represent the HR function as a member of the Dresden management team.
