Introduction to the job
ASML is the world's largest supplier of lithography systems to the semiconductor industry and perhaps it is also the most important technology company that you've never heard of! More than 1,600 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems at our ASML facility in Berlin.
Role and responsibilities
You will complete a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/design, during which your theoretical and practical phases will alternate between the Berlin College of Economics and Law and ASML Berlin GmbH.
At first you will mainly be involved with mathematical and mechanical modules as well as basic mechanical engineering disciplines such as manufacturing processes, design principles, technical drawing and materials science. Afterwards, you will learn the relevant specializations (e.g. production systems and production controlling) as well as interdisciplinary content (e.g. business administration) and exemplary specializations (e.g. measurement and control technology).

- Product development theory and designing the manufacturing processes
- You will learn calculation methods, manufacturing processes, production controlling and designing
- During the practical phases at our company, you will be given assignments in the design, measurement technology and the development department for production technologies as well as in a business unit
- You will accompany a product from product development to delivery
- Two-week assignment in the training workshop, together with the precision optics trainees.
- Learning the basics of glass processing
Education and experience

- General university or technical college entrance qualification with a very good to good grade point average
- Interest in science and technology
- Your thinking is oriented to solving problems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
- Good command of English
- Ideally, you will have completed technical training and your initial work experience
